What can I expect about exercise and nutritional counseling?

Our exercise and nutritional counseling reviews your food log and offers knowledge based on your unique needs and goals, supporting you to make healthier food choices.

Labs - what and where?
  • We partner with Quest for lab services. You can make an appointment at any of their locations. *If you have insurance, provide them with your insurance info. 
  • The clinic offers a phlebotomist for your convienance who will meet you in the clinic ($30) or at your home for a fee ($60).
  • You can choose to get wholesale clinic pricing or use your insurance to pay for labs.

Labs typically ordered include:

  • CBC - Complete Blood Count
  • CMP - Complete Metabolic Panel (electrolytes, kidney &liver)
  • Lipid Panel - Total chol, LDL, HDL, Trig
  • TSH - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
  • T4 - Active Thyroid in your blood
  • A1C - Diabetic specific screen
  • OH25 - Vit D3 specific Screen
  • B12 - Vit B12 specific Screen
  • FE - Iron specific screen

Semaglutide

Semaglutide is used for weight loss.  It also helps to lower blood sugar levels, and to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke in certain patients. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 agonist that works by increasing insulin release, lowering the amount of glucagon released, delaying gastric emptying, and reduces appetite, thus reducing the volume of food eaten in a day.

Common semaglutide side effects may include low blood sugar (in people with type 2 diabetes), upset stomach, heartburn, burping, gas, bloating, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, stomach flu symptoms, headache, dizziness, tiredness.

**NEVER to be used if you have a thyroid tumor, pancreatitis hx, kidney disease hx, multiple endocrine neoplasia (tumors in your glands), or personal or family history of mdullary thyoird cancer.  If you are planning on getting pregnant.

Injection weekly.
